$50 Says They'll Be Over By The End Of The Month

If 100 good guys and one commitment-phobic jerk were all in a room together, serial dater Jennifer Aniston would laser-lock on the loser with deadly accuracy.

Case in point, the former Friends star is rumored to be getting over her split from John Mayer by romancing hunky 300 star Gerard Butler. Gerry's abs are pretty impressive but his track record with the ladies, not so much.

Reportedly in talks to appear with the newly single actress in a pair of in-development projects, tabs claim Jen is eager to make a love connection with the strapping Scottish actor.

Hmm, Mayer to Butler seems like kind of a lateral move. Rather like her tendency to play Rachel in every movie but at least she's consistent.

The two are rumored to have had chemistry at the Toronto Film Feestival before she bored him to run, temporarily insane, into the arms of Shanna Moakler, but a source says "Now that Jennifer's single again, she's no longer keeping her admiration for him secret," while a Butler buddy claims "He's very excited to see her and wants to hook up with her again and hang out."

So buckle up and strap in for another tabloid-friendly romance and recycled "Jen's In Love: This Time It's The Real Thing!" headlines before the inevitable "0 - 300: Jen Strikes Out With Bad Boy Butler" split. Or more likely, "P.S. He Doesn't Love You."

You know, Jen, being alone for half a second wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. But if you're that desperate for companionship, get a dog. Or some batteries.
