The Ultimate Mother's Day Accessory? A Newborn!

Timing is important in Tinseltown. Apparently Hollywood babes know this instinctively, as five superstars-in-the-making made their grand debuts just in time for Mother's Day.

The baby-boom rundown:

Howie Dorough's wife, Leigh, delivered a little boy, James Hoke Dorough, on May 6th. Weighing only 4.5 lbs, the littlest Backstreet Boy wasn't expected until June, but everyone's happy and healthy. Well, as happy as an infant can be. Baby James' middle name is in honor of Howie's father Hoke who passed away last year after battling with cancer.

Prediction: James will perfect the toddler tantrum with boy-band lyrics: "I want it that way."

Chyler Leigh gave birth to her third child, Anniston Kae West, on May 7th. There seems to be method to the chaos of having a family so young. The 27-year-old Grey's Anatomy star (also Mom to Noah Wilde, 5, and Taelyn Leigh, 2 1/2, with husband Nathan West) will be merely 45 when her youngest turns 18. It's a strategy worth considering, folks.

Prediction: Chyler will be a smokin' hot empty-nester. The Demi Moore of her generation, if you will. And Anniston will have an inexplicable affinity for Friends reruns.

Julie Bowen and her husband, Scott Phillips, welcomed twin boys on May 8th. Joining 2-year-old Oliver McLanahan, John and Gus arrived late (they were due in April) and healthy. Bowen, 40, is certainly going to have her hands full. Not only does she have three boys under 3, her new comedy Modern Family was just picked up by NBC. When it rains, it pours. Time to call in the nanny. Or nannies.

Prediction: John and Gus will be surprisingly well-adjusted, thanks to the fact that 80% of their Hollywood peers are also twins. Just as long as they stay away from the Sheen twins. Preschool class from hell.

Tobey Maguire and his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, welcomed a baby boy on Friday, May 8th. No name has been released, but we can assume his name will be classically adorable. Exhibit A: big sister, Ruby Sweetheart, 2 1/2. With a superhero dad, these tykes have it made. "My dad looks better in spandex than your dad...."

Prediction: Baby Boy Maguire will grow up to marry Seraphina Affleck.
