Are Leaked Naked Pics The New Leaked Sex Tape?
Sigh. When will celebrities learn?
If they've seen even one late-night showing of VH-1's Behind the Music or picked up a tabloid EVER (oh alright, read it over their assistant's shoulder), there are a few fame game rules they and every star wannabe should know be now:
1. Getting a tattoo of your SO's name is basically Autobahning your relationship to Doomsville.
2. Hooking up with Tommy Lee is never a good idea.
3. Ditto Pamela Anderson. Or Paris Hilton.
4. Never, ever, NEVER make a sex tape or take naked pictures. A few easy peasy keystrokes and you've got an unfortunate recipe for public humiliation in the form of everyone seeing your naughty bits and birthmarks (including your parents! GROSS!).
Unfortunately, our advice in #4 comes a bit late for Rihanna. The "Umbrella" singer has become the latest star (this week!) caught up in a nude photo scandal after salacious snapshots featuring the R&B star were unleashed on the Internet, showing RiRi snapping photos of herself in various stages of undress.
One of the shots shows Rihanna standing in front of a hotel mirror on which the words "I love you Robyn" (Rihanna's real name) and "Miss you" are written. It doesn't take a genius to figure out it was likely Brown who wrote the message.
Her former beau Chris Brown can also be seen with a pair of pink knickers on his head, a pose he might become very familiar with if the boys in cell block 8 have anything to say about it if he gets jail time for his assault (alleged) against RiRi.
The beleaguered singer's lawyers have fired off a cease and desist demand, claiming that the "unauthorized photos purported to be [Rihanna]" be removed, calling the release a "violation of the Artist's rights."
The statement, which doesn't confirm or deny Rihanna as the girl in the pictures, pretty much confirms that it is Rihanna.
Rihanna photos have been a popular topic lately. Just a couple of days ago, Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos went to court to get to the bottom of Rihanna's leaked battered photo, claiming they vilified Brown (wah) and may have poisoned the potential jury pool.
And now these scandalous nude pics conveniently surface, hmmm . . .
It's not clear where they're from or how they ended up online but we can't help but wonder if Brown is betraying The Most Covered Domestic Abuse Victim Of The Year a second time by using a memento of their relationship as part of a smear campaign to get off the hook.
So, to all you stars out there, take a lesson from the likes of Cassie, Miley Cyrus, Pete Wentz, Lily Allen, and more, who've had their naked or naughty photos accidentally shared with the world if you're gonna take naked pictures of yourself . . . don't.
When you care to send the very best, how about a little something from Hallmark instead?
