After months of rumors and denials, Womb Watch 2009 can put a tick in the knocked up column: Jennifer Hudson is indeed pregnant.

A friend, who apparently tossed that pesky little confidentiality agreement in the trash can, snitched that the former American Idol contestant was the guest of honor at a weekend baby shower in Chicago.

"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," longtime friend Felicia Fields said of Saturday's get-together. "They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet." Guess who's not going to be asked to be the godmother?

The Oscar-winning Dreamgirls star -- who is engaged to I Love New York 2 contestant David Otunga -- told Access Hollywood earlier this year: "I definitely want a family. You know, I'm almost 30 now, so they gotta get started sometime."

The baby news comes seven months after the tragic deaths of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, who were murdered last October.

Asked if Hudson, 27, received blue or pink gifts, Fields said, "They don't know [the gender]. More yellow."

According to sources, Hudson is seven months along.

So when is she going to announce her pregnancy? When the baby is born!?
