Actor Used To Work The Pole

G.I. Joe's producers have come up with an ingenious way to promote their flick--a video of actor Channing Tatum taking it off for a crowd of horny Florida ladies.

The rise of cobra indeed.

The video is from 1999 when the star was dancing under the alias "Chan Crawford" for a "Chippendale's style revue" (read: strip club) called Male Review. Don't worry, he was 18 at the time so the Feds won't come knocking if you watch it. Check it out: here.

It's his best work since Step Up 2.

Unfortunately for his admirers, Tatum could only strip down to his skivvies because the stage show had a strict no-nudity policy.

We're not sure though which is more embarrassing for Channing: G.I. Joe; the cheesy stripper routine or that he's dancing to 98 Degrees or N'Sync or some crap.

Regardless, the actor's moves caught the eye of a female casting agent, who put him in Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" music video. If 'Knowing is Half the Battle' then the other half must be homo-erotic grinding.
