JLoThinks Her Horrible Performance In Movie Nobody Saw Should Have Won An Oscar
Did Jennifer Lopez get hit in the head with a football at a Miami Dolphins game?
Or did the sparkly onesie she wore for her New Year's eve performance cut off oxygen to her brain?
Because she has lost her mind.
According to the master thespian herself, JLo thinks her performance as Puchi in El Cantante (which is Spanish for "Over-Indulged Celebrity's Crap Vanity Project") should have won an Oscar.
Does senility kick in this early at 40? Jennifer may want to have that checked out.
Gigli blabs to Latina Magazine, "I feel like I had that [Oscar worthy role] in El Cantante, but I don't even think the academy members saw it. I feel like it's their responsibility to do that, to see everything that's out there, everything that could be great."
"Well, it is a little bit frustrating. It was funny; when the Oscars were on, I had just given birth on the 22nd, and the Oscars, I think, were a day or two later. I was sitting there with my twins--I couldn't have been happier--but I was like, 'How dope would it have been if I would've won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?' 'Thank you so much! I just want to thank the academy!'
Of COURSE none of the Academy voters went to see this movie! No one besides JLo, her husband Skeletor and the bum who snuck into the theater to eat Skittles off the floor saw it.
But for the sake of argument, let's say they did see it. Her competition for best leading lady only would have been Helen Mirren, (who won for The Queen) Kate Winslet, Dame Judi Dench, Meryl Streep and Penélope Cruz.
The only way Jennifer Lopez was taking home a little gold statue that year is if she had one of those babies of hers dipped in gold. There are two of them, after all.
