Who knew Mariah Carey was a fan of wine in a box like Kathy Griffin's mom?

The singer-actress was stumbly McDrinks A Lot at the Palm Film Festival when she wobbled to the stage to accept the Breakthrough Performance Award (sponsored by Asti Spumanti!) for her role in Precious.

Carey was escorted onto the stage where she greeted her presenter and Precious director Lee Daniels with a little dance and a big hug.

Carey hesitated for a few seconds, looked to the ceiling, sighed and said, "Please forgive me, because I'm a little bit, um ..." Several people in the crowd yelled out "drunk," to which Carey replied, "Yeah!" adding a long, hearty laugh. Then Nick Cannon ran up and gently rolled her off the stage to make room for the next presenter.

Of course, there's a chance Mariah might not have been buzzed on booze. Her speech might have been a combination of a lot of the bubbly and too little air due to all the spanx and duct tape needed to get her into that dress.

Mariah is going to be pissed when she sobers up that there wasn't a Hello Kitty throne to carry her up to the stage.

The only thing missing to make the train wreck complete was Kanye West butting in with a CAP LOCK rant about how Mariah's great and all but Jennifer Lopez would have done a better job.

These award shows are as exciting as watching Nicole Kidman trying to express emotion. Mariah probably got tipsy after taking a drink every time someone thanked God during their speech. This is why they should skip the "summer at theatre camp" song-and-dance numbers and plunk down a bottle of Arbor Mist on every table instead. If every diva got boozed right before accepting their award, we wouldn't have to get drunk to deal with their boring speech. Fill 'er up!

Nothing can top her episode of Cribs, but this is definitely our new favorite Mariah Carey video. Congratulations on not sucking as badly as you did in Glitter, MiMi.
