Now He's Easy Riding His Big Hog Into Heaven
Damn, this is turning into a sequel to 2009's Summer of Death.
One of the true Hollywood bad asses, Dennis Hopper, reportedly died at his home in Venice, CA today at the age of 74.
Dennis had been battling prostate cancer for quite some time while going through a messy divorce from his crazy-ass fifth wife Victoria. Dennis was surrounded by his family when he died at 8:15 this morning.
Hopper has amassed well over 200 screen credits as an actor, writer, and director since 1954. His first movie appearance was in Rebel without a Cause and he has since become one of the most recognizable villains in film history, having been nominated for two Oscars and an Emmy. He may be best known, however, for writing, directing, and starring in the 1969 film Easy Rider. Other career highlights include True Romance, Blue Velvet, Apocalypse Now, Hoosiers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, River's Edge and Speed.
Oh well, now he can keep Gary Coleman company in the after-life's admission office.
