After a very short engagement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are officially husband and wife

Was anyone else taken aback by this sudden twist of events? After dating for three years the public was questioning whether Orlando would ever pop the question to his then girlfriend Miranda Kerr. Engagement rumors started to swirl late last year when Miranda's brother confirmed that the pair were indeed engaged. Sadly Perez Hilton wrote that Orlando's rep denied the allegations and added that the Pirates hottie had no immediate plans on wedding his long time girlfriend. Finally at the beginning of June the two were officially engaged and many of us probably assumed that it would be a typical Hollywood engagement, long and drawn out.

Only a month later and reports started to surface that the pair were secretly wed on Wednesday July 26th in an equally secretive location within the United States. It seems as if these rumors are true as both reps confirmed the statment! Although I'm very happy for the couple, I can't help but think that there is an underlying reason behind this quickie wedding.
