Glee cast agrees that a special Michael Jackson episode would be a great idea.
The world responded in great numbers when Glee hit the airwaves just a year ago. The TV show captured the hearts of millions of viewers across the globe with their amazing renditions of various pop hits. Their unimaginable success allowed them to dedicate whole episodes to some of the most beloved music stars of our time, including Madonna and Lady Gaga.
After covering most of the pop queens, many Glee fans are questioning when the hit TV show will be focusing on some of the male pop stars. The next obvious choice would have to be the late Michael Jackson, better known as the King of Pop. Although the rumours are there, the show's creators are still keeping mum on whether the idea will ultimately become a reality.
It seems as if the rumours about a GLEE inspired episode are not new. In November 2009 Extra reported that the swoon worthy Corey Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson, along with his co-star Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams) thought that it would be a fabulous idea to do an Michael Jackson episode. Monteith said it's such a great time to pay homage to such a brilliant artist."
The rumours were revisited at the recent Teen Choice Awards when a number of our favourite Gleeks were asked what they thought of a special Michael Jackson Glee episode. MTV News reports that Amber Riley (Mercedes), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) and Heather Morris (Brittany) all thought that a Michael inspired show would be a spectacular idea. When specifically asked which song they would love to perform Morris stated "I think it would be super cool to [do] the 'Bad' montage.
It seems as if an MJ episode is certainly in the works! More fuel was added to the rumour fire when Ryan Seacrest took to his Twitter to announce just talked to Adam Shankman from SYTYCD and got a pretty heavy hint that he's directing the MJ episode of Glee!
