The Paris Hilton Drug Scandal Only Gets Better!

AsWOMAN.ca reported over the weekend, Paris Hilton ran into some trouble while visiting her boyfriend in Las Vegas on Friday night. The heiress was busted booked on account of drug possession after the police stopped a car she was riding in, and searched it.

In her purse was a bag of cocaine, and the party girl was promptly tossed in the slammer - adding to her growing album of mug shots.

Today, however, a spokesperson from Paris' camp went public with her story, in hopes to clear everything up about the weekend's events. This, like the last three times this summer Paris has been discovered with drugs, is simply a misunderstanding. And the bimbo's defence? She's too rich to have been carrying the purse in question.

Yes, the wealthy trouble maker is using the good taste defence.

A source, as reported by blogger Perez Hilton, said this:

"This purse in question was a high street brand - and by no means up to her high fashion standards. Paris is hoping authorities will see sense and let her off the hook. This is a terrifying situation for Paris. She's scared stiff about what might happen. Her greatest fear is that authorities will make an example of her because she's famous. The idea of going back to prison sends a shiver down Paris's spine."
