Critical Reception to Lady Gaga's Meat Inspired Fashion.
Lady Gaga's meaty outfits have been a hot topic lately.
After posing for the cover of Japanese Vogue wearing a raw meat bikini, Gaga also strutted on stage at the VMA's wearing yet another beefy concoction - a meat dress.
You can be sure that animal rights activist group PETA was all over Gaga's get-up quicker than a piggie's heartbeat, scrutinizing the ethics of her wardrobe selection, suggesting that the family cat would likely be Gaga's next victim.
And, just when you think the pop star can't get any more eccentric, she explains her meat dress with equal absurdity. Today's season premiere of Ellen featured a post-VMA's interview with the singing sensation and, when prompted for reasoning about the cutlet couture, she said the following:
Well, it's certainly no disrespect to anyone that's vegan or vegetarian.I, as you know, am the most judgment-free human being on Earth. However, it has many interpretations but for me this evening it's that if we don't stand up for what we believe in, if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones. AND, [holding up Japanese Vogue], I am not a piece of meat. ...Thanks for the clarification?
