Katy Perry And Russell Brand Tie The Knot

Katy Perry is celebrating her 26th birthday after a busy few days of celebrating her new marriage.

Newlyweds Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot on Saturday at the tiger sanctuary Ranthambhore National Park in India - the very place where Brand proposed last New Year's Eve. Awww.

The wedding ceremony was reported to be private and spiritual, performed by a Christian minister who is a friend of the Perry family. For a contained wedding, though, there seemed to be a lot of raucous.

According to sources, a deadly tiger was reported to have scaled the walls surrounding the festivities in an attempt to get in, but security managed to restrain him until he retreated on his own. The predator is named Maharaja and is believed to have killed 3 local villagers within the past year. The tiger was only 15 metres away from the bride and groom at one point, reports say.

Celebrities in attendance included P Diddy, David Walliams, and Jonathan Ross. Perry's BFF Rihanna was a last minute no-show due to apparent scheduling conflicts. Extravagant accessories included elephants, camels, horses, fire eaters, snake charmers, a Bollywood banquet and a fortune telling parrot. The parrot, by the way, predicted a long and healthy marriage with children. We have a feeling that Polly's loosing her touch, cause our celebrity divorce radar predicts a split in the not so distant future.
