Lily Allen Has Second Miscarriage
Six months into her pregnancy, it was announced that Lily Allen has lost her unborn baby with partner Sam Cooper. The Daily Mail reported that the British pop star was rushed to the hospital last week after experiencing stomach pains but doctors were unable to save her son. No details were explained as to the cause of death or emergency hospital visit, but Allen's rep released the following statement:
"It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby. The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made."
Unfortunately it is the second miscarriage for the 25 year-old star and support is pouring in from friends and supporters. In 2008 she had been expecting a baby with then partner Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers.
Lily had recently announced putting her music career to rest for a while in place of settling down with her new family. Allen has released two best-selling albums - Alright, Still and It's Not Me, It's You.
