Chelsea's New Friend Revives Old Material

Now that stand-up comic and talk show host Chelsea Handler has become best friends with Jennifer Aniston, critics are giving her more flack than usual for her Jolie jokes.

Handler's material over the years has been notorious for jabs about a select few celebrities, namely Lindsay Lohan, the Jonas Brothers and "home wrecker" Angelina Jolie. Easy targets, and most comedians would agree.

But the backlash for Chelsea's stand-up show this past weekend has people thinking that her new friendship with Aniston is fueling her tirade. The two were spotted catching rays together in Cabo San Lucas over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and they have reportedly become drinking buddies over the past year. A dream come true, it seems, for the comedian who uncharacteristically has nothing but positive things to say about the actress.

In response to the mass scrutiny, the comic said: 'If I've learned anything from this, it's to write some new jokes.'

She also also tweeted yesterday: 'I have been making fun of Angelina Jolie for years. Period.' Which is true. The comic has previously used Angelina as a punching bag, as seen on her E! Network show Chelsea Lately, her comedy tour Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang! and in her 2008 book, Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea.
