Animals Love Pammy
Well here’s a total (non)shocker.Pamela Anderson, after stripping down and totting pickets for tears on end, has been named PETA’s person of the year.
Honestly, we have to say that it’s about time.
She
won the title after speaking to students of Oxford University about
animal rights issues, and drawing butcher’s markings on her body for a
poster campaign. Of course, she also filmed anti- fur PSA’s, and called
upon India’s leaders to put a stop to their highly competitive and
non-sustainable leather trade.
In
addition (as if you could handle any more do-gooding) she also adopted
stray dogs from animal rescue centres and has spent years preaching on
part of PETA.
"For
years, Anderson has been penning letters and posing in ads for PETA
U.K.'s American affiliate in order to raise awareness of cruelty to
animals and demonstrate how easy it is to avoid contributing to animal
suffering," said a PETA spokeswoman this week.
Congrats,
Pam! Of all of the things you have accomplished... like Baywatch...
and....that sex tape with Tommy Lee... this is by far your most
impressive.
