Angelina Jolie reveals her sons' favorite snack - crickets

altIt's a struggle to get most kids to eat their peas and broccoli, but Angelina Jolie says she has no trouble getting her young children to try new, out-of-the-box cuisine. In fact, her two oldest sons Pax and Maddox have a new obsession that would turn the stomach of some adults - crickets.

"My boys love to eat crickets. It's their favorite thing," Jolie told Extra. "When I first gave [crickets] to them... I wanted them to not be turned off by something that wasn't (part of) their culture. So I bought them... and they ate them like Doritos."

It makes sense that Jolie - a mom of six kids from cultures around the world - would want to make sure her children are exposed to all kinds of different traditions, techniques, rituals and even snacks. The humanitarian and actress, 36, has made it a point to extend her influence around the globe, working with international aid organizations and even shooting a Louis Vuitton ad in Cambodia, birthplace of nine-year-old Maddox, earlier this year.

And Jolie's kids aren't the only ones who are adventurous - the actress herself has been known to buck tradition. Although she and her longtime partner Brad Pitt share custody of their children, they are unmarried and have denied reports that they plan to marry.
