Heros co-stars and off-screen couple Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia have called it quits after more than a year of dating and countless quips about the ick-worthy 12-year age gap between them. The two were snapped on a romantic getaway in Bora Bora recently and there was speculation last year that Ventimiglia was going to pop the question with a $200,000 engagement ring.

Says a snitch, It was a lifestyle conflict. They were in very different places. Hayden is young and likes to go out in the Hollywood scene and that's not his style.

Plus, he probably got sick of being mistaken for HP's father whenever they went out. Or he got tired of trying to spell her last name correctly, like the rest of us. God, can you imagine if they had gotten hitched and she added his last name? Whew, talk about wicked carpel tunnel syndrome.

But from slightly blurry-eyed witnesses at Radar, the TV cheerleader is already K-I-S-S-I-N-G twee singer Jesse McCartney. The two were recently spotted engaged in some serious public canoodling. From an age standpoint, he's 21 to her 19, and the ease of spelling his last name, we approve.
