Kind of Accidentally On Purpose Boosts Borrowed Bling

Don't be fooled by the rocks that she got, they might not actually belong to Jenny from the Block.

According to sources, Jennifer Lopez "borrowed" $50,000 worth of diamonds from jeweler Robert Mouawad for an event with the assumption the diva would return the bling after wearing.

Well, you know what they say about assumptions.

JLo made sparkly swag of the jewels, deciding they clearly must have been a gift for pimping them on her famous self at the event. Honestly, they should have included a gourmet fruit basket, too. The nerve.

"We received a call from [J.Lo's manager] Benny Medina, informing us that Jennifer was going to keep the jewelry," an insider told Page Six.

But to avoid entanglement with the lawsuit happy former Fly Girl -- she and hubby Marc Anthony are suing a baby stroller company for $5 million for using pics of their twins to advertise their pricey product (they should now better, only JLo can use her kids to make money) -- the jeweler is brushing off the incident.

An insider says, "[a]s far as Mr. Mouawad is concerned, Jennifer can have whatever she wants." But, the source adds, "a premature demand seemed presumptuous."

J, are things really that bleak? If Denise Richards can land a crappy reality show, you can too if the seven figures you snagged for the twins' baby pictures isn't enough to make ends meet that you have to resort to boosting high-end merchandise.

Meanwhile, Fred Leighton and others have issued a BOL for the pilfering pop princess.
