Ooooooooh, What Will Oprah Say?
The course of Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship is like a shortlist of some of music's biggest hits (pun somewhat intended): Janet Jackson's "Young Love" in the early honeymoon phase, followed by big bro Michael Jackson's "Beat It," then Brown's aptly titled track "Run It," next "Reunited" by Peaches and Herb, and finally Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man."
Now, just one month after their brutal altercation, the reconciled R&B duo is making new music to add to their "break up, to make up" play list---together.
According to sources, Rihanna and Brown are holed up in a Santa Monica studio working on a duet that Brown hopes to include on his album, which is due to drop later this year. "They've been working on it together," says a studio insider.
Shades of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's "We've Got Something in Common," perhaps?
But given rumors that Brown tipped off photographers to try to get pictures of him and Rihanna together while they were reportedly reuniting at Diddy's mansion, their lyrical love song has a certain eau du PR rehab.
Anyone else think watching the video of their duet is going to be . . . awkward?
