"Mushy" Barton Is Still The Butt Of Jokes

Actresses slimming down to be on television is as standard as the plastic surgery they get to look younger, prettier or perkier.

But according to The Daily Express, Mischa Barton will be trading the Hollywood diet of Diet Coke and cigarettes for a super-sized McDonald's meal.

Producers of Mischa Barton's new series A Beautiful Life want her to do the unthinkable---gain weight to play a model!

Producers of the Ashton Kutcher-inspired show are reportedly worried that her skinny frame will send a bad message to teens that will be watching the show.

The show will revolve around a group of cat walkers living together in a coed residence in New York City. Barton will play Sonja, a supermodel struggling to stay of top of the fashion pack. Mischa told E!, "The show will be racy, drugs, drinking, things like that." Way to stretch that acting muscle, Mischa.

Jessica Simpson is so kicking herself for not coming up the "it's for a part" excuse after the brouhaha about having too much poundage to pack into her Daisy Dukes.

The Daily Express writes, The producers are very mindful that their target audience is teenage girls so it's important to not send out the wrong message. Mischa has the part on condition she does not lose weight -- they want her to put weight on if she can.

A supermodel that isn't super skinny? Ashton is evidently is trying to one up Tyra Banks and her latest scripted plot to find the next Kate Moss. Model fight!

In response, Mischa flew to her keyboard and blogged about it. Of course. She says, "I still love my pilates and yoga, and have cut back on fatty foods a bit. My time in India and Paris really just helped me lose a little bit of weight but there's nothing drastic going on!" So for all three of you concerned about Mischa's BMI, everything's fine!

Personally, we think producers should spend more time focusing on the fact that Mischa can't act. Once they deal with that, then they can address any weight worries. But on a positive note, hopefully she'll be to busy carb loading to design more of her hippy dippy headbands.
