Joe Simpson Jealous Of Jessica's Jock: Just Not That Into Tony Romo

Continues To Have Boundary Issues When It Comes To Appropriate Father-Daughter Relationship

Joe Simpson needs a hobby, like golf or something, that doesn't involve meddling in daughter Jessica's personal business or fawning over the size of her breasts ("She's got double Ds!" in case you're interested).

Notoriously controlling, Jessica Simpson's father/manager has reportedly grown weary of his daughter's relationship with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and wants her to end the romance.

Joe reportedly "feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica," an inside source revealed to the National Enquirer.

We suspect the sour grapes have less to do with Jessica forgetting the lyrics to her own songs -- twice! -- and more to do with the fact Joe hasn't been able to mold Tony into Nick Lachey 2.0 for another crack at reality show whoredom.

Younger sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has one-upped her as the hotter Simpson, has a marginally better career (true, Melrose Place isn't exactly Oscar caliber but still it tops Employee of the Month) and bested her in the baby race. Jessica isn't about to let herself be written off as the barren old hag.

The source also hinted, "But if Jessica had her druthers, she'd be married and pregnant. Her main concern is getting Tony to settle down and commit."

So unless Pop's is planning to surprise Jess with an adopted Malawian baby, he should probably practice saying "please pass the potatoes" without grimacing before the next Simpson-Wentz-Romo family get together.

Kinda makes you appreciate your own family hi-jinx doesn't it?
