Made-For-TV Affair is One Manipulative Move
WOMAN.ca was among the first to suggest the lusty off-script shenanigans between country singer LeAnn Rimes and her hunky Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian were cooked up by Lifetime's marketing department, despite the grainy videotape "evidence." (Check out the kissing and finger-sucking video, here.)
Is it a coincidence that this revelation of a "romantic relationship" came out RIGHT BEFORE its premiere? On Lifetime, Television for Women, of all places? No, it isn't, we say! And LeAnn's non-denial denial and Eddie's statement which suggests the whole matter "is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship didn't do much to convince us otherwise.
But the "Please watch my Nora Roberts Lifetime movie tonight at 9 p.m." promo continues with tales of her husband's questionable sexuality from friends and family (boy, the holidays are going to be awkward) coming out of the closet (har har!).
Whatever happens in real life is sure to be way more interesting than the actual flick but we'll be parked in front of the screen to see if we can detect off-screen chemistry between LeAnn and Eddie and try to work out where the whole "my husband is gay" storyline fits in.
