Vert Catering offers Eco-Friendly Eats

These days every business seems to be bragging about they're eco-credentials, but few traders are as serious about being green as Toronto's Vert Catering.

Owned and operated by chef Pedro de Santos, Vert Catering applies an eco-friendly philosophy to every aspect of its business model. Using takeout containers made from 100% recycled materials, cups made from corn and biodegradable Tupperware, Vert also composts all it's food onsite and even uses a delivery van run on recycled chip oil!

Utilizing ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers, de Santos produces a changing menu designed to highlight the best seasonal produce Ontario has to offer. Current offerings include forest mushroom cannelloni, vegetarian muffaletta and range of fresh sandwiches and baguettes stuffed with delectable fillings such as miso eggplant scallopini and Canadian smoked salmon with fresh cheese and herbs.

In addition to corporate catering Vert offers a bike lunch service, where a gourmet brown bag lunch is delivered to your office on a 1926 traditional Pashley British Bakers Bicycle (pictured) all for under $8.00!

Being green has never been this easy and delicious.
