Slimming Down Without Surgery

New Options for Weight Loss

A couple of new options for getting rid of unwanted fat are on the horizon. They will be coming available soon and will not require the use of surgery or needles.

Will this work for everyone? Not likely.

Will it work on everyone treated? If the selection process is correct.

Is it permanent? If you do not consume more calories than you burn in one day.

Does it hurt? Both of the new devices may have some discomfort - this would be managed with a little medication.

So what are the new devices that are coming?

1) Zetiq

This device uses a cooling process which causes - check this out - apoptosis of the fat cells. Translation: The device causes fat cells to die, be absorbed into the body and excreted into oblivion. The device is clamped onto an area, like the flanks (hips), and set for a period of time. You will feel some cold in the area, maybe some minor discomfort, but after a short period of time the area becomes numb. When the treatment is finished the device is removed and you carry on with your day. There may be some local swelling. The results will take time to appear and usually fully visible by 90 days. The treatment can be repeated. www.Zetiq.com

2) Liposonix

The LIPOSONIX system is designed to focus high intensity ultrasound to cause permanent disruption, or ablation, of subcutaneous adipose tissue in the anterior abdomen without damaging the epidermis, dermis or underlying tissues and organs. A custom-designed ultrasound transducer delivers energy across the skin surface at a relatively low intensity, and brings this energy to a high intensity focus at precise depths in the targeted subcutaneous adipose tissue, causing thermal coagulation of the adipose tissue within the focal zone of the ultrasound beam.
The Treatment may require light medication. The damaged tissue in the treated area is resorbed over a period of several weeks, which can yield an aesthetic body contouring effect in 90 days.
results in little to no patient down time
involves one treatment of approximately one hour
may reduce waistline circumference by up to several centimeters.
These are two exciting new technologies. They are not for everyone and will be most effective for those who are suffering from stubborn fat that diet and exercise won't seem to eliminate.
