Many Women Choose To Undergo This Controversial New Procedure
Over the years, women have been known to do a lot of crazy things in order to please their men. They have even been known to go under the knife. Sure, boob jobs, nose jobs, even lip injections have become commonplace among ladies who want emphasize and impress. But where should the line be drawn? How do you know when you're going too far?
How about hymenoplasty, also known as "virginity repair" surgery. Yup. We're pretty sure that's it.
Sources are reporting that in the U.K., an astounding number of women are signing up and shelling out for this highly controversial operation. Hymenoplasty is a procedure where the hymen is stitched up or reconstructed entirely so that it will tear and bleed the next time the woman has sex. According to reports, the procedure is especially popular for women who want to offer a sacred surprise to their man on their wedding night. According to reports, over the last five years, 116 hymen repair operations have been successfully completed in England.
However, sources do point out that a large majority of the women looking to "preserve" their virginity are Muslim, and are expected to be married a virgin. Some Muslim women, however, take the act one step further by purchasing something called chastity certificates to "prove" that they are virgins. YIKES!
Of course, at WOMAN.ca, we believe that the only person to undergo plastic surgery for is yourself, but aside from that fact, we also believe that hymenoplasty is just bloody (pun intended) ridiculous.
