It doesn't take a genius to tell you that stress can wear you down mentally and physically - your body is a good indicator of how anxiety can quickly spiral out of control. With your health in mind, Cosmopolitan recommends the following tips to unwinding and learning to enjoy life again:

1. Prioritize and make a task list. This tip can be especially helpful to individuals who fall into the category of "workaholic." If you're constantly pressing yourself to go above and beyond expectations, your stress level is most likely through the roof. Make a list of must-do tasks on a daily basis so you know when to stop and hold off for another day.

2. Bookmark funny websites as work. Although you might feel a little guilty for procrastinating, research shows that watching a funny video can reduce anxiety levels by up to 70 percent. This might be just what the doctor ordered on a busy, stressful day.

3. Create a budget. Oftentimes, money can prove to be the root of all evil. Many relationships end because of financial problems, and the relationship with yourself can suffer in a similar fashion. Do yourself a favor and create a budget to stick by on a weekly basis to prevent stressful financial situations.
