Bamboo towels and linens have become must-haves for green shoppers. Bamboo is a very fast growing grass so the environmental impact of bamboo growth is low, even when compared to organic cotton, and the quality is undeniable! Bamboo towels are the softest I have ever felt. They are also naturally anti-bacterial which is great for the bathroom.
The texture is soft, silky and breathable, without leaving behind lint like the average cotton towel does. Bamboo can naturally absorb a lot a water so it helps you dry off quickly. They are also machine washable.
When shopping for bamboo linens make sure to look for products that are organic and fair traded. Although bamboo towels may not be on the shelves of big department stores yet, they can often be found at green living conventions or online. Also consider bamboo sheets which are surprisingly affordable and come in a variety of colours.
