Check
out the hottest new trends and objects gracing the design pages. This
month's theme is what I'm calling "funky minimal" design; all of these
are interesting objects in the minimal style with a quirky twist.
Amazing!
OBJECT: Designerette's "Mini" Tea Service
Design studio Designerette have created this scaled-up version of a doll's house tea service, called Mini. The full-size teapot, cups and saucers are made of porcelain and retain the shape of the tiny originals.
OBJECT: The Seuk Shelf
Check
out the funky style of this shelving unit from Seuk. How it stays up
in anyone's guess, though it certainly makes for an interesting
conversation piece!
OBJECT: Ana Linares' Conversation Chair
This looks more like installation art than an actual piece of
furniture, but if you're going for that "contemporary art museum" look,
great! This would probably look fantastic in your rock garden.
OBJECT: Roca's W+W Combination Sink and Toilet
Now...
I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this concept on the whole, but
the execution here looks great and it's certainly an interesting
thought. A combination sink and toilet together in one unit.
OBJECT: The "Wave" Chaise by Paola Lenti
Available in 9 colours, the Wave is resistant to all manner of weather conditions, and so is perfect for indoor or outdoor use. It also will hold up nicely pool-side, as it has been treated to withstand the effects of salt and chlorine. Sweet!
