What Every Household Needs: A Dyson DC16 Root 6 Vacuum

E-mail comment on this item

This hand-held vacuum is a natural line extension of the Dyson uprights and canister vacuums. (I had the privilege of reviewing the Dyson DC07 on a different blog last year.)

Like those other machines, it operates without a bag. Dust, dirt, particles, whatever you are sucking up goes into an easy-to-empty compartment. When you're done, you just empty it into the trash and begin anew.

That's what really sets this apart from every other hand held vac. The Dyson technology. Dyson's have the most powerful suction you can find in a vacuum. And, they don't lose suction as you use them.

This hand held vac works on any floor or carpet or couch or car. It works in a storage bins and cabinets, crevices and garages. It's a cleaner way to clean, hands down the air expelled from any Dyson product has up to 150 times less bacteria and mold than the air you breathe. Dyson vacs are a must for any household with allergies or asthma.

For the guys out there, it doesn't hurt that this hand held looks like a machine gun. Photos of my husband using it are coming soon.

This beautiful hand held vac has launched exclusively at Target; they're offering it at a purchase price of $149.

Together, Dyson and Target are giving $10 of the sale of each Root 6 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation for a total donation of $1.4 million.

If you've read my post about the Nintendo DS Lite, compare this donation to that one:

The Nintendo DS Lite costs $129 and Nintendo is giving $5 of the purchase price for a minimum of $100,000. The Dyson DC16 Root 6 costs $149 and they're giving $10 of the purchase price for a total of $1.4 million.

Yeah, Dyson is the bomb in my book. And thought I don't want to balk at Nintendo's donation, Nintendo could perhaps learn a bit about generosity from them.

Way to go Dyson your generosity brings a smile to my face!

Yes! I was playing with some Dyson vacuums at The Bay this past weekend. They were a little heavier than I expected, but all in all pretty snazzy and maneuverable, good stuff!
