You Won't Find This at Sears

I admit it: I'm a terrible gift giver. I can browse through scores of shops and oodles of items and still come away with a gift certificate for Canadian Tire.

The problem for me is choice. Sure the malls are filled with shops crammed with all sorts of stuff but in the end, it's all pretty much the same. I believe that gifts, like the people you're buying them for, should be more fantastic than functional, more unique than usable. And that's why you'll find me at the One of a Kind Spring Show this weekend.

With sister shows in New York, Chicago and Vancouver the One Of A Kind Show isn't strictly just that, but we'll forgive the faux pas as the sentiment is right on the money. For over twenty years this event has been showcasing the work of artisans from across North America, providing hapless shoppers like yours truly a cheat sheet to that perfect gift.

With hundreds of clever creative types offering one-off takes on fashion, art, furniture and more you're sure to find that special something for your special someone.

And why not reward all that thoughtfulness by picking up a little something for yourself along the way?
