Phrases That Are Guaranteed To Ruin The Mood

Sometimes, a verbal clue is all we need for a hookup to go from so-so to so good. A moan, a gasp, a well-timed "yes", and even a little dirty talk can help boost the steaminess.
Other times, words and sounds can take a romp-in-the-sheets from "yay" to "nay." Unless you're looking for surefire ways to end a bedroom encounter, here are five things you should never say in bed.
1. Someone else's name
The ultimate in bedroom faux-pas. In the throes of passion, you can't help
yourself - "David!" you gasp. Except his name isn't David. It's Ben. And
Ben is leaving. Mood = ruined.
2. "Hurry up"
Maybe the sex is bad. Maybe it's been a marathon session and you're ready for the finish line. Maybe you've got an appointment to go to. Whatever the reason is for wanting to speed things up, telling your man to "Hurry up and finish" is a bedroom no-no.
3. "Is it in yet?"
If you're looking to single-handedly destroy a man's sense of worth and pride, this is the way to do it. Otherwise, refrain from asking this question - even if you really are unsure about what's going on below.
4. "My ex-boyfriend did it like this"
No one likes being compared to an ex, especially not when it comes to sexual prowess. Bring up your ex-boyfriend's skills while getting it on with someone else and you'll find your party for two has become a solo event.
5. "I really need to paint the ceiling/vacuum the floors/dust the bookshelf..."
If you're creating a household to-do list, keep it to yourself. By being so openly distracted, you're telling your partner that you're neither enjoying yourself, nor do you really care about their enjoyment.
