How many is too many?

altThe lovable Anna Faris is starring in a new comedy, called What's Your Number?, coming out at the end of the summer, but the film already has a lot of buzz. For one thing, it's one of a small but growing number of films featuring hilarious female leads. For another, it touches on an issue that plenty of ladies worry about: How many sex partners is too many?

The film, based on the book 20 Times a Lady by Karyn Bosnak, centers on the story of a young woman who hears a staggering (and, we hope, invented) statistic that most women who have more than 20 sex partners can't find a husband. Since she's verging on that figure, she goes back through all of her exes to try to see if see might have missed The One.

Sure, the movie centers on a gal trying to snag a husband (what else is new?), but we love Anna Faris. Plus, it does ask a stimulating question: Is it possible to be too sexually active? And if so, how many is too many? Twenty? Thirty? Eighty? According to The Kinsey Institute, women aged 30 to 44 report an average of four male sexual partners in their lifetime. However, 3 percent report having had 21 or more partners - so if your number is climbing, you're not alone - it doesn't mean you won't find love.
