Four signs that he's really into you

altMen can be confusing. What did he mean when he said "see you later"? Why did he want to do drinks but not dinner? Why didn't he kiss me goodnight? Seriously, trying to decipher their signals is like trying to crack military code for single females. Thankfully, Cosmopolitan's Jake Hurwitz is here to give you four signs that mean a guy is definitely into you.

1. He texts you between noon and 5 p.m. An afternoon text means he's thinking about you in the middle of his day - and leaving enough time to make solid plans with you. If he texts you after 5 p.m., he probably had other plans that fell through - and he texts you after 11 p.m., he's looking for a booty call. Move on.

2. He chats with your friends. Most guys won't put up with gals' banter unless they seriously want to impress you. If he accepts your invitation to hang out with the girls with a smile on his face, he's totally committed to making a good impression on you - and he knows that he better past your friends' litmus tests if you're going to keep him around. Bonus points if he actively participates in the conversation and remembers your friends' names.

3. He asks you on day-dates. A guy who asks you to drinks may be into you, but he might also have a hidden agenda. If a dude asks you to lunch, he really wants to get to know you - sober, in the middle of the day, with no chance of sex. That's some pretty serious "like."

4. He emails you. If he contacts you from work, it means he can't stop thinking about you. Plus, he sees communication with you as a pleasant break from his workday tasks. Sending an email is a lot harder than sending a text - it takes way more thought and effort, and usually contains a lot more info. An email says, "I really want to talk to you."
