It seems as if Hollywood has saved the best for last. Get ready for mind-blowing movie releases coming to a theater near you.

Ramona-Beezus-Selena-GomezBased on the book written by Beverly Cleary, Ramona and Beezus is a heart warming story of the tumultuous relationship between two sisters.

It seems as if Beatrice Quimby (Selena Gomez) has trouble putting up with the constant annoying antics of her younger sister Ramona (Joey King). Coined Beezus by her sister, since Ramona couldn't pronounce Beatrice when she was little, she finds it hard to relate with her immature sister. After a number of incidents where Ramona embarrasses Beezus, she begins to question whether she can really love her little sister. Their relationship starts to mature and grow when Beatrice searches out advice from family members which allow her to discover how to really love her sister. No matter what.

Ramona and Beezus is a great movie for the whole family, but it definitely has some fierce competition. Hollywood has released a number of fabulous movies this summer including Inception starring Leonardo Dicaprio and SALT starring our favorite Hollywood starlet, Angelina Jolie.

Inception-Leonardo-Dicaprio-Titanic

If you haven't heard, Inception is a science fiction thriller about an incredible man, Dom Coob, who has the ability to steal secrets from a person's mind while they are sleeping. This gift has quickly become a curse as Dom becomes an international fugitive. His last chance for redemption comes with a proposition from a team of specialists. Instead of stealing ideas from the subconscious he is contracted to plant an idea in someone's mind. The game quickly becomes dangerous as an enemy surfaces who seems to predict their every move.

My reaction: I am so excited to see Inception. Every single person I've talked to has said amazing things about the movie. It seems as if all of Leonardo's recent movies have been edge-of-your-seat kind of blockbusters and I'm sure this flick won't be any different. Our beloved Leo has really come a long way since his Titanic days!

Salt-Angelina-Jolie-Brad-Pitt

In Salt, CIA operative Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) becomes a fugitive when she is accused of being a Russian spy. She uses all that she has learned as a CIA employee to uncover the mystery of who set her up.

My reaction: Let's be honest, any action movie starring Angelia Jolie is going to be mind blowing. I've been waiting for the release of this movie since I saw the trailer. If you are looking for an intricate plot then skip this movie; Salt is going to be all about the action!

Despicable-Me-Steve-Carell

Another movie that has been garnering awesome reviews is Despicable Me. The movie revolves around one of the most feared bad guys in the world, Gru. He has decided to pull off the biggest heist in all of history. He is going to steal the moon! But his plan becomes a little complicated when three little orphans arrive at his doorstep and are determined to make him their new dad.

My reaction: Although I probably won't be going to see this movie, I do think that it would be a great film for the whole family to enjoy. The cast includes Steve Carell (hilarious!), Jason Segal and Russel Brand so I'm sure that the movie will amuse both young and old.

Eat-Pray-Love-Julia-Roberts

Eat, Pray, Love is a touching story that speaks to many women on a very personal level. Elizabeth Gillbert (Julia Roberts) is a modern woman who seems to be lost and confused in what society has portrayed as the "perfect life." She has a successful career, a husband and a house. But something is missing. To try to figure it out she embarks on a path of self discovery for one year. In Italy she falls in love with food, in Indonesia she learns about the power of prayer and in Bali she finds true love.

My reaction: The movie drops on August 13th and I can not wait to see it. I believe that the movie speaks very personally to thousands of women around the world, including me. Society tells women that to be truly happy they must have a family, house and a couple of children running around in the yard. Elizabeth Gillbert challenged this notion by breaking free from society's expectations and finding true happiness within herself.

So which movie are you dying to see this summer?
