Mel Gibson Re-launches Career In The Hangover 2
Are celebrity cameos the newest form of career rejuvenation for the rehab rejects? Ask Mel Gibson. The actor has taken a drunken roll and tumble downhill over the past few years after his racially charged statements spurred debate all over Hollywood over whether or not it's the booze or bigotry talking.
Recent reports of domestic violence towards former captive...err girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva haven't exactly polished his image either. But according to MTV News, the controversial faded star has signed onto a new project in hopes of relaunching his career - The Hangover 2. Um, yikes.
Apparently the actor was not the only bad boy on the list for potential Hangover prospects, director Todd Phillips recently explained "We are going to try and get Tiger Woods for the second one... help him regain his image." Great plan. Nothing says reformed celeb like a role in a film about drinking too much and forgoing your responsibilities.
Though Gibson's role is still unidentified, original leads Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong are all returning for the much anticipated sequel which will be released next year. Whether or not Gibson's performance will leave us all with the feeling of a hangover is yet to be determined.
Is this the latest charity trend!? What do you think of Mel Gibson's attempt to reboot? Can his failed career rise from the dead?
