Many women would say that the Sex and the City series
revolutionized the way they think about men, love and relationships.
They might also say that two movies based on the hit HBO show were the
perfect way to finish off the series, which ended after six seasons in
2004. However, some people aren't ready to let it die: specifically,
directors in Hollywood.
Recently, rumors have been swirling that a new movie based on the characters' lives before Sex and the City is in the works, according to MSNBC. The material for the film would be derived from Candace Bushnell's novels that track fictional character Carrie Bradshaw's life prior to making it big in New York City. The books, titled The Carrie Diaries and Summer in the City, were beloved by fans of the franchise.
Sources say that Selena Gomez would likely play the role of Charlotte, while Blake Lively could be casted as Samantha. Gossip-mongers also have it on high authority that the starring role of Carrie would go to Elizabeth Olsen and that Emma Roberts would likely play Miranda.
Although many people may not be able to picture a reboot of the film series, which seemingly just came to an end, the fans of Sex and the City might be enough to make it happen. For women who just can't get enough, this news might come as a delightful surprise.
