Snap Judgement: Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen Rocks

We Hope This Doesn't Give Blake Lively Any Ideas . . .

The pursuit of the multi-hyphenate continues to rage through the Gossip Girl cast.

Following in the "you know, what I REALLY want to do is ROCK!" footsteps of Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen is the latest to explore her seedy, musical underbelly with her band Pretty Reckless.

With her penchant for dressing like a baby Courtney Love and riiot girl eyeliner, it's not surprising that she delivers semi-angsty lines with a vengenance: "I la-la-la-la-like you / I la-la-la-la-love you / I used to ha-ha-ha-ha-hate you / NOW I REALLY F-CKIN' LOVE YOU!"

What is surprising is that she doesn't suck. On the contrary, we're actually impressed with Little J's burgeoning punk-rock chops.

Spin praises her "raspy roar," a voice that suggests "angst and bitterness." Since she's a famous 16-year-old CW star, we're not sure where all that agita is coming from, but give her a few more years to have a relationship fall apart in public, get bad tattoos, and get bilked by her mom-ager, the girl will have a convincing stalk-and-growl stage routine.

And she'll finally be able to rock out past her bedtime.
