The Wait Is Over! We Just Wanna Dance With Somebody . . .
Bobby Brown just announced the arrival of his fifth kid, but former wifey Whitney Houston trumped him with some mighty big delivery news of her own.
Her couldn't-be-more-anticipated new album, Undefeated, will be released on Sept. 1st.
Her fans have been waiting for this moment since the ink dried on her divorce papers.
It will be the R&B diva's first new music since her last CD, "Just Whitney" in 2002. In the interim, the spokeswoman for the "crack is wack" association gifted the world with repeated, but unfulfilled, rumors of new singles, canceled appearances and the national nightmare that was Being Bobby Brown (Bob-bay!).
The first official single will be "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," a collaboration between David Foster and Diane Warren. You remember that little "and iii-eeee-iii will always love youuu ooh whoa" ditty? Yep, Whit and mentor Clive Davis and pulling out all the stops. And if "I Will Always Love You" is now stuck in your head on endless loop, well, you're not the only ones. We've been belting it into our hair brush all day, but we're a little pitchy.
And her team has setup the perfect cat-fight to help boost sales; fellow diva Mariah Carey's CD, "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel," is slated for a Sept. 18th release. Ah,
it's like mid-1990's all over again. Boys II Men is probably available for a duet. Madame Butterfly's hubby Nick Cannon should start prepping now for her future emotional breakdown and claims of exhaustion if her CD tanks.
