Remembering LFO's crooner, Rich Cronin

It's a sad week in music for 90s boy-band fans as Rich Cronin of former American pop group LFO has passed away at age 35 at a hospital in Boston. Cronin had been battling cancer and finally suffered a stroke Wednesday, from which he did not recover. The band is best known for their hit singles Summer Girls and Girl On TV and in 2009 they had planned a reunion tour. Two months later a cancellation was announced and the members decided to pursue solo projects. Cronin was well liked and respected among fellow pop sensations, such as The Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block. Stars have been tweeting their memories and well wishes for the family, some notable admirers include Carson Daly, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass. The famous tune Cronin penned himself, Summer Girls, just landed a spot on Billboard's list of top summer hits of all time, coming in at number 16. A fitting tribute to a musician who inspired nostalgia in all of us former teeny boppers.
