Now "Womanizer" Is Stuck In Our Head . . .
It's Britney, beeyotch.
The rehabbed pop princess and new face of Candie's is set to kick off her Circus tour on Tuesday in New Orleans (Candie's, seriously?! That's sooo early-90s).
The three-ring act is being billed as the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" singer's comeback following a very public breakdown one year ago which included the now infamous hair-shaving incident and a disastrous performance of "Gimme More" at the 2007 MTV VMAs.
Her lip sync set includes a mix of hits past and present, split into five segments: Circus, House of Fun (Anything Goes), Freakshow/Peepshow, Electro Circ and Encore. Brit's official website has posted the complete set list and a teaser clip of the rehearsal. No Cheetos or Starbucks' frapps in sight!
But ticket sales are reportedly "down considerably." A source says: "Group sales are down considerably, and then you've got individual tickets that cost as much as $500 apiece. That's a lot of money to spend on an artist who isn't a sure bet right now."
The source adds: "She's worked really, really hard to make this good. Granted, there've been some hiccups along the way, but she's going to put on a good show. I just hope there are people there to see it. This is really her last chance."
Time for faux lip lock lesbian and gal pal Madonna to stage a surprise tour appearance. Gimme More Holiday!
