If U Seek Britney

Is Brit's New Video Naughty Or Eh?

Britney Spears just debuted her video for the barely-a-double-entendre "If U Seek Amy." Circus

There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy, Parents Television Council president Tim Winter told Rolling Stone. The pop star's third single from the album has sparked controversy for it's supposedly raunchy hidden meaning.

Brit's entire career is built on her coy Lolita lyrics and persona so they're a lot late to be jumping on the "we're shocked, simply shocked" train. And we have to wonder if anyone would have picked up on the play on words if the PTC hadn't opened their big, fat mouths. Who's the perv now, guys?

Of course, the brouhaha has only served to boost interest in the track, but once you figure it out (say it fast) it's kind of a big ole eye roll. Seriously, it's practically Victorian compared to say, just about any rap video on MTV or the Pussycat Dolls' much more obvious "Bottle Pop," which trust us has nothing to
do with Coke or Pepsi.

The beginning of the video is a nod to the Fox news anchor who has apparently appointed herself as the nation's morality czar. Set in the 'burbs, the the first half segues to vintage Britney with extensions and a cleavage-bearing bustier writhing around with sexy extras, and ends with June Cleaver Britney in a bob and sweater set coming out with a plate of cookies to greet her white-picket-fence-family, closing the door on the raunchy scene inside.
