Take your baby on a ride with mamaRoo

There are a lot of products out there on the market that are meant to soothe your baby with motions similar to how you hold and rock them. Izzy hasn't really liked the other ones we've tried so I was skeptical when trying mamaRoo.

The space age looking ride for your baby is made by mom for moms. It promises to move like you do. There are 5 unique motions:

  • Car ride
  • KangaRoo
  • Tree swing
  • Rock-a-bye
  • Ocean wave

With the ability to choose 5 speeds for each. The product also has built in speakers which you can either use to play one of the built in nature sounds or plug in your MP3 player! (LOVE this feature!)

The verdict?

Izzy LOVES the mamaRoo. I was surprised how much he enjoyed it! He smiled a lot and barely fussed. I was almost jealous and wanted to try it out myself. Looks like a fun ride.

He didn't like one motion more than another, but he did like the fastest speed the most. He was stimulated by the toys that hang over it and I like how they're reversible so he doesn't get bored. He's a big music lover so that build in speakers are a major plus. Also the ability to switch up the motions when he gets bored of one help to keep him enjoying this ride.

The seat is machine washable which is great for accidents which babies often have.

The biggest downside is the size of the product. My house is already cluttered by toys, diapers and other baby supplies so it was tough to find a spot for this.

I'd recommend this as a baby shower gift for your friends who have space in their homes. It's cute, functional and fun.

Many baby stores carry it but check out http://www.4momsonline.com/stores to find the location nearest you.
