Your Furry Friend Reveals More Than You Know

alt

Are you outgoing and friendly? Or too yourself and quiet? Ever think that maybe your pet is the same? Some people are ready for anything, spontaneous and love a good adventure – sounds like your dog maybe?

Others like to stay in, turn on the fire place and curl up to a good book – think kittens. Pet selection might go beyond lifestyle choices,  and might actually reflect our personalities. Wondering what your pet says about you? Read on and find out!

Toy Dogs:
If you have a lap dog like Pomeranian or Chihuahuas you have a desire to nurture your tiny pets. You tend to enjoy accessorizing and your pet can be an extension of that quality. Maybe you just really love cats but are in denial. In any case, you love that you can take your small pooch with you almost anywhere.  You are probably as cute and lovable as your puppy, but sometimes might be considered annoying.

Big Dogs: When big dogs are your choice you tend to be outgoing and athletic and enjoy staying in shape – or at least your dog keeps you in shape. Big dogs like Labradors, Boxers and German Shepherds have high energy levels just like you and make perfect pets to share in the outdoor activities you enjoy, or perhaps you like Rotwielers for their protective qualities. Owners and dogs alike can be super friendly but their tough exteriors might put some people off. Remember to smile!

Cats: Arguably the best creature alive - hey the Egyptians thought so too – they are good for people who are usually busy and prefer a lower maintenance pet. You are easy going, but independent just like your cat; however, you do enjoy a little snuggle time from time to time. If you prefer a cat with a little more pedigree such as a Himalayan or Siamese or Persian, you appreciate the finer things in life - food, art and other luxuries and do not hesitate to spoil your cat and yourself. Your purebred cat is a reflection of your sense of style and elegance.

Exotic Animals:
If you prefer exotic reptiles like snakes or lizards – ew - you are probably goofy and adventurous. You love a bit of danger, these pets provide even though you secretly find them lovable. If you like aquariums, you could be inclined to like gold fish, which could mean you like stability and routine, and you hang with people who are like you. Or, you could have a whole weird aquarium full of exotic fish, you probably have a fun side, but are also a calm person.

Birds: Not all pets have four legs. Bird variances are like that of fish. You can go from common to exotic. If you are into Parrots and Macaws, then you are probably the life of the party. You are outgoing, love attention and could talk for hours. When birds are your choice, but you fancy a smaller variety such as a Parakeet or Canary you tend to be softer-spoken with a gentle demeanor.

Some people simply love all animals, and all animals can tend to bring out some quality or compliment something about your personality. What kinds of pets do you have and do they reflect your quiet demeanour or loud boisterous self?

Sometimes she's a redhead, sometimes she's a blonde. Some days it's H&M, and on other days, it's Chanel. What ever the mood, she is a woman who is passionate about the arts, fashion and social media. Born in Toronto, Hilary Lauren Fox is an only child to artist parents - mom was an illustrator and pattern maker, dad was a painter.  Rather then studying the arts as her parents hoped for, Hilary opted for a degree in psychology with dreams of working in a clinical setting. But after graduating she realized that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and that the arts was in her blood, applying her education within the art and fashion world.
