Delicious Cheesy Broccoli and Rice Soup

An easy soup to make and enjoy on a cold day by the fireplace.
Ingredients
1 C. chopped onion 2 Tbs. butter 1 10 3/4-oz. can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 soup can of milk 3 C. cubed Velveeta cheese 5 C. chicken broth 2 10-oz. pkgs. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed 2 C. cooked rice

Directions

Melt butter in a heavy saucepot. Saute onions until clear. Add mushroom soup, milk and cheese. Cook until well incorporated. Then add broth, broccoli and rice. Simmer for around 30 minutes.
