Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

A sure crowd pleaser!
Ingredients
1 C. butter 3/4 C. brown sugar 3/4 C. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 C. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional) 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 C. oats 1 11.5-oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chunks 1 C. chopped pecans, or any nut of your choice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Combine flour, cinnamon (if using) baking powder, baking soda and salt and stir into creamed mixture. Add oatmeal, chocolate chunks and pecans and stir until well blended. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheets. Bake for 12 minutes.
