Leslie's Cream of Pumpkin Soup

A delicious soup great to start any festive meal.
Ingredients
1 lg. can solid packed Pumpkin 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/4 tsp. cloves 1/4-1/2 C. sugar 1 can evaporated milk 1 1/2 C. half and half cream 6–8 C. chicken broth 1/2 tsp. almond extract (optional)

Combine all ingredients and simmer on medium heat until well heated. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
