An in-depth recap of this week's Bachelor Pad
Emotions were running high on last night's episode of Bachelor Pad as the competition intensified with high drama. The cast was asked to participate in a game that required them to rip each other apart with answers to ultra personal survey questions which left most of the girls in tears. Natalie was voted by the guys as "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" while Gwen was labeled as the "dumbest girl in the house" and - shocker - Elizabeth was top pick for worst boob job.
The girls seemed to take a more brutal beating than the guys and did not handle it well at all. Jesse B decided to explore the spark he shared with Peyton on a one-on-one date after he scored immunity with the gossip game, and unfortunately the romance between them ended before it had even begun. They were off to a sizzling start with some good old fashioned chit chat about their mutual country lovin' values, but as soon as they broke out the vodka martinis Jesse B thought it would be a good time to let loose and act like -- well, a guy. From burps to side punches and overall boyish quirks Jesse was a class act all night and judging by the look on her face Peyton was clearly losing interest by the second. Plus, she actually told the cameras she was losing interest by the second. They passed on the fantasy suite option and headed straight back to the house. Likely the most boring, uneventful date in Bachelor history. Serves her right for being the guy's girl of the house. The two decided to remain beer buddies and Jesse offered Peyton the rose even though there was no more romantic connection.
Meanwhile, Tenley and Kiptyn enjoyed a magical evening at Catalina Island after an adventurous day of zip lining, and love was certainly in the cards for them, fantasy suite and all. Somehow there was no mention of her ex-husband's infidelity but Tenley did express some jitters over not having been with a man since Jake. As for whether or not there was bedroom hook-up between the two, it was hard to read between the lines of phrases like "I can't wait to talk all night" and "This night will take our relationship to the next level". In any case Kiptyn of course received the rose and was thereby pronounced safe until next week.
By the time the rose ceremony rolled around Krisily had made an honest effort at scoring brownie points with Dave so that there was at least one influential male on her side that could vouch for her in the voting discussions. The phrase "chopping block" was used as much in this episode as "here for the right reasons" is used in all of the Bachelor seasons combined. But even though Dave assured her that she was safe and that the boys were voting for Gwen, Kiptyn - out of the kindness of his cushy heart- couldn't bring himself to vote Gwen and told Dave and the gang that he was going with Krisily. That's where things started to crumble and Krisily was sent home. It was unclear whether Dave had voted Krisily at the last minute even though he swore he wouldn't; the tearful limo ride suggested that Krisily felt backstabbed by Dave and that maybe he double crossed her? Who knows, the wicked witch is gone. For the girls, Wes was an obvious choice to be sent home and so he was. After Gia's departure he vowed to split up all the couples and since we're narrowing the house down to couples exclusively, "America's favourite villain" got the boot.
The remaining Bachelor Pad bachelors and bachelorettes are Tenley, Kiptyn, Jesse B, Kovacs, Dave, Natalie, Peyton, Gwen, Nikki, and Elizabeth. As the weeks go on, the struggle between love and money becomes more and more scandalous. With failed romances and hormone driven cat fights, the race to the final rose and $250,000 is sure hold its place as the hottest spot on the Monday night tube.
