When Men Make Friends It Can Get Crazy
Most
people focus on the romantic relationships within a television program.
However these relationships are constantly facing an emotional roller
coaster equipped with pinning, love triangles, hooking up, breaking up,
making up, and everything in between. That is what is so wonderful
about a bromance, if the dude friendship is done right it is hilarious
and full of love. These hetero male couples are never boring and never
overrated.
Chandler & Joey- Friends
These
Friends provide viewers with the ultimate bromance. Ross never really
stood a chance when it comes to the man love between Chandler and Joey,
who are best friends, roommates and even bracelet buddies. Not to
mention that no one on the show hugged as much as these bros.
Marshal & Ted & Barney - How I Met Your Mother
These
three cannot be separated to pick out the two ultimate bros. I mean
Barney even authored a book entitled the “Bro Code”. They wingman, they
sword fight, they drink beer; they have the ultimate bromance triangle.
JD & Turk – Scrubs
The
bromance between these two is so blatant and central to the show that
during the musical episode they sing about it in a number called “Guy
Love”. These two have an overt man love, and clearly want everyone to
know.
McDreamy & McSteamy – Grey’s Anatomy
Turk
and JD aren’t the only doctors with a serious bromance, as Grey’s
Anatomy’s McDreamy and McSteamy provide constant comic relief from the
medical drama with their dude friendship. Even Sloan (McSteamy)
sleeping with Sheppard’s (McDreamy) then wife couldn’t keep them apart
for long.
Vince & Eric (and pretty much the whole cast) – Entourage
The
show is about what happens when a group of male friends who grew up
poor in New York manage to move to Los Angeles and become rich. And
what happens is their lavish lifestyle doesn’t get in the way of their
bromance. The guy love between this cast, especially Vince and Eric, is
at the heart of this television show.
