Mad Men fans, rejoice! TV's sexiest ad exec, Don Draper,
won't be going anywhere soon. Jon Hamm has signed on for three more
seasons of the award-winning television drama centered on a New York
advertising agency.
"Great news for fans of one of the best hours of drama on television," says Deadline. "We've learned that Jon Hamm just inked a three-year Mad Men contract with Lionsgate TV and network AMC in a deal that makes the show's star one of the highest-paid actors in a cable series."
According to Deadline, the pay bump that accompanied Hamm's new contract catapults him into the highest echelon of TV earners - and the show's other stars will likely be getting similar raises, too. If you're a fan of the series, you can rest assured that Don Draper's brooding, drinking, smoking ways will continue on for a few more years, at least. The show will return in 2012.
Hamm can also be seen in plenty of other places - like guest-starring on earlier seasons of 30 Rock, hosting Saturday Night Live and appearing in the movie Bridesmaids.
